Procedures & Guidelines for the eBulletin, sBulletin, and University Bulletin

There are currently four e-mail bulletins sent out on a regular basis:

• eBulletin (Faculty & Staff; moderated by Michael Johanson)
• sBulletin (Students; moderated by Michael Johanson)
• University Bulletin (Faculty, Staff & Students; moderated by Michael Johanson)
• Career Bulletin (Faculty, Staff & Students; moderated by Kim Austin)

Bulletin Procedures

• The eBulletin is distributed daily campus wide to all employees. Announcements must be received no later than 9:00 a.m. to be included in that day's bulletin. Announcements received after the deadline will be included in the next bulletin.
• The Student Bulletin sends student-centered information campus wide to all students. Announcements must be received no later than 9:00 a.m. to be included in that day's bulletin. Announcements received after the deadline will be included in the next bulletin.
• The University Bulletin is distributed as needed.

E-mail faculty & staff announcements to bulletin@byuh.edu, or log on to the University Communications eBulletin submission form: http://uc.byuh.edu/university_bulletin.
E-mail student announcements to sbulletin@byuh.edu, or log on to the University Communications sBulletin submission form: http://uc.byuh.edu/student_bulletin.

• Announcements must be 80 words or less, including attributions and contact information. If needed, a hyperlink can be included to redirect readers to a Web page for more information.
• Please include a name and contact information with the announcement so people can reach you with questions if necessary.
• Please do not reply to the bulletin with questions related to specific announcements.
• University Communications reserves the right to refine the text. However if it's over 80 words, we will not cut it down for you. Please ensure information is correct, such as dates, times, etc.
• Information will be distributed only once. Please plan accordingly. University Communications reserves the right to determine whether or not a mistake needs to be corrected and repeated.
• University Communications reserves the right to reject submissions. Policies are subject to change to address unforeseen issues should they arise. We will notify you when changes will be made on this policy.
• The following announcements are not appropriate for any BYU–Hawaii bulletin:

o Personal commercial advertisements
o Lost and found
o Other personal business
o Rumors and hearsay
o Individual out of office announcements
